2025 04 20 Because He Lives

On this Resurrection Sunday, we're reminded of the profound importance of Christ's rising from the dead. The resurrection isn't just a historical event - it's the linchpin of our entire faith. Without it, as Paul says, our preaching and faith would be in vain. We explored how God created us in and for love, but sin entered the world, bringing death as its consequence. Yet God, in His infinite mercy, sent Jesus to live the perfect life we couldn't and die the death we deserved. The resurrection is God's triumphant declaration that Christ's sacrifice was accepted, sin is defeated, and new life is available to us all. This truth should transform how we live, inspiring us to trust God fully, worship Him wholeheartedly, and pursue love in all our actions. As we contemplate the empty tomb, let's ask ourselves: How will we live differently because He lives?
