Fighter Verses
Children Desiring God ministries (which has recently renamed itself, but, I confess, I don’t know their new name [Oh! Wait” I found it: TRUTH78]) maintains a Bible memory program worthy of your consideration! Titled, “Fighter Verses,” the program realizes the words of the Psalmist who declared, “Thy word have I hid in my heart that I might not sin against Thee,” (Psalm 119:11, KJV). The name “Fighter Verses” refers to Paul’s exhortation to the Ephesians in that mighty spiritual warfare passage in chapter six to “take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God . . . .”
I mention them today for two reasons. One, to give you the URL for their homepage so you can check out this Bible memory strategy for yourself and, two, because from time to time I have the privilege of blogging for them on the fighter verse of the week. They’ve given me permission to republish those blog posts here but I want to give you access to two websites first.
Here is the page where all the posts I’ve written are indexed: Index.
And here is the homepage for the Fighter Verse blog from which you can navigate to other pages within the Children Desiring God website: Page.
Check out Fighter Verses and TRUTH78 Ministries. You’ll be glad you did!
